impact: giving back
Giving back is extremely important to us at You Legal, to help provide education, freedom and identity so we are making a positive impact on the world around us! Partnering with You Legal enables us to support causes close to our heart. Thank You!
YOU LEGAL & B1G1
We have partnered with B1G1 – Business for Good, a social enterprise and non-profit organisation with a mission to create a world full of giving — by helping people make a positive impact for others.
On 25 September 2015, world leaders convened to adopt the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They represent the global community’s next step in ending poverty, fighting inequality and injustice, and tackling climate change for the next 15 years. B1G1 provides us with an access to impact the SDGs.
You Legal became partners with B1G1 in March 2018 so we could be part of a global network of purpose-driven businesses.
For every book purchased, file opened, matter referred to us, person to thank and for birthdays of those in our community, we contribute to a cause that means a lot to every member of our team. This comes at no extra cost to our clients, but allows everyone in You Legal’s community to have a direct positive impact on the world around them by working with us.
2019: Obtaining Legal Documents for Children in Vietnam
Each time we make a donation to BIG1 we will be able to obtain the legal documents for a child in Central Vietnam. The papers could include a child’s birth certificate which will allow that young person to register for public services, including education and healthcare. Children that attend school not only receive an education but will be less vulnerable to trafficking which is a threat to children in the region.
Our goal and mission it to choose projects that align with what we do - working in law we understand the importance of these vital documents and even more so for children living in poverty.
2018: PROVIDE A LEARNING HUB for indigenous children
Every time we give to B1G1, we helped a young person living in a remote indigenous community to develop IT and English literacy skills by providing a safe space for enhanced learning and capacity building.
The provision of a hub for community engagement helps its members to overcome barriers of learning and develops the ability for individuals to participate in the social and working life of the community.
Partnering with You Legal for your legal needs helps us to continue giving and making an impact, Thank you!
