Franchisor Disclosure Document Update

For most franchisors, 31 October was the deadline for updating their disclosure document. But what details do you need to update and could you possibly be exempt? Find out on this week's You Legal TV.

If you are a Franchisor, unless you are exempt, don’t forget there are penalties for failing to update your Disclosure Document!

If you haven’t updated your Franchisor Disclosure Documents for this year yet, don’t panic - here’s You Legal’s guide on what you need to include:

Firstly, your financials from the last 2 years, a declaration of solvency, and any changes to payments.

Then, provide a current listing of your operators, including their business experience.

Include work you’ve done on your corporate branding, whether it’s a new logo or registered wording.

Lastly, provide details of major capital expenditure, including construction, software, point of sale technology, and furniture.
