Frequently Asked Questions

If you are considering engaging You Legal to prepare a Supervision Agreement for International Medical Graduates, Registrar Doctors or allied health professionals, here’s what you need to know:

Can this be used for IMG doctors under supervision conditions?

Yes. This Agreement is designed to align with supervision requirements for International Medical Graduates (IMGs), including Level 1–4 supervision models.

Do I need one if we already have verbal arrangements?

Yes. The Medical Board of Australia and other allied health Boards and Colleges require written supervision agreements. This document helps ensure you meet that requirement while protecting both parties.

What if I already have a version – should I get this one?

If your existing agreement hasn’t been reviewed since late 2024 or early 2025, covering updates from AHPRA/Medical Board, RACGP, and relevant National Boards, we recommend updating it.

This ensures your documentation is compliant with current legal, regulatory and accreditation standards.

How long does it take to prepare?

Most clients complete our instruction sheet in 10–15 minutes. Once we have your details, we begin drafting your Agreement straight away.

Can I use this as a template?

Yes. We tailor the Agreement to your needs, and it can be used as a template for other practitioners (of the same profession) undergoing supervision in your practice or clinic with minor edits.

What is included in the cost of this Fast Track Solution?

The above price is inclusive of the finalised Agreement and the process of getting there, as set out in the scope above. From providing us with the information, to making sure you understand it and making the changes you request, to getting your finalised template Agreement. For more details on the exact process and what’s included, see the ‘Once you purchase this Agreement’ section above.

For the avoidance of doubt, this scope does not include detailed legal advice, which we can provide if required. If you request this advice, we will provide you with a scope and quote so that you get the specific advice you need for your clinic.
